Cheating has been part of the fabric of this country and many other countries ever since men and women have been cohabiting. From the antiquity to our modern times, infidelity continues to create havoc on relationships. Cheating has its own consequences.
If you thought that Mark Sanford will be the latest politician to digress and cheat on his spouse, think again. After Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, we thought that would be the last case. No. Since then, we had Kwame Kilpatrick, the former mayor of Detroit. Way before any of these politicians, we had Thomas Jefferson and his slave mistress Sally Hemings at Monticello. Even Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of New York, had his own mistress.
